How do you feel about what you read? Do you think there is room for different types of models on the runway? Why or why not? Do you think the runway at NYFW is a good place to bring awareness to global issues? Why or why not?

Reshma Qureshi Walking Down the Runway in NYFW
I feel very sad for Reshma and the victims who faced the acid attacks, at the same time she's a brave woman who still walks the runway to display her tragedy in front of people.  Her voice helps many women realize that it's okay to have imperfections. I also applause the NYFW for encouraging her to do it, even with her accident. In my opinion, I say that there is a place for these strong models to continue on in their career even with the problems that they face on a daily basis. For this reason, people, like the NYFW, should do this more often to motivate others that face the same issues as Reshma Quereshi. For the people who control chemicals substances, like acid should be more aware to who they give it too. I do not believe that NYFW is a good place to bring awareness to global issues, because I think more people should do it, for example, news stations.
